I was able to receive some great news this past week!! A week before spring break!! For those of you who don't know, I attend SLCC in Taylorsville studying for my Cosmetology license and Associates Degree!! I turned in my application for graduation last semester because I was supposed to be finishing up in June.. come to find out finishing is gonna come a lot sooner then that!! I was told I'd be finished with my license by May 1st and I can walk in graduation May 3rd!! Im so stoked to think its just right around the corner!! So close to almost stressing me out considering I have to take Exits and state board practical and written all within the next month!! ahhh!! To give you an in site on what those are.. Exits are basically state board prep done by SLCC. We are required to have a state board kit separate from our regular kit that just focuses on state board.. state board practical includes hair cut, 10 rod perm, color application, thermal styling, men's straight razor face shave & a facial..there not looking to see if you know how to do these things there looking for your sanitation! very stressful.. one mishap and you have to retake the entire thing.. $85 for practical and $85 for written! puts a lot of pressure on. My next month is gonna be stressful but I'm very excited and ready to be done and into a salon :)
